Oleksandr Yablunivskyi has over 25 years of experience in the banking and payments sector. He has worked with key stakeholders in the financial market, gaining a profound understanding of the industry, expertise in financial innovation, and a thorough knowledge of the approaches taken by international payment technology companies. Oleksandr has been with Visa since 2019.

From 2017 to 2019, Oleksandr headed the Department of Payment Systems and Innovative Development at the National Bank of Ukraine. In this role, he was responsible for shaping regulatory policy for payment systems and settlement transactions, developing cashless payments, and overseeing the operation and enhancement of Ukraine’s national payment system, “PROSTIR”. He also supervised the activities of other payment systems.

Prior to this, he held senior management positions in international payment systems and Ukrainian banks, including leading the card and payment business development at Erste Bank, VAB Bank, and Legbank.

Oleksandr holds a Mini MBA diploma from the EY Business Academy.
