Seminar overview
The program is for leaders striving to bring their systems through the storm, opening up new horizons.
Organizations evolve, grow, sometimes fail, but they are constantly changing and adapting to the world around them. As a result, they become completely different from what was initially designed, especially if they grow into large and prosperous companies.
Research shows that the evolution of organizations often undergoes unexpected changes, both among startups and mature companies. Sometimes these changes lead to impressive results, when some organizations become much more competitive than others. Pandemics, wars, technological revolutions, and other disruptions make these contrasts in development even more striking and inexplicable.
During the two days, we will discuss approaches to strategy, development models, leadership insights, as well as working frameworks and tools for analysis and decision-making in difficult conditions from an experienced Ukrainian top manager, member of the Board of Directors of BGV Group Management – Alexey Timofeev and world-renowned Stanford University professor – William Barnett, director of the Stanford University’s “Become an Influential Leader” executive education program.
On the second day of the seminar, Professor Barnett will also present his own approach – “leadership by design”. It does not assume that you have to predict or fully foresee the future. Rather, your role is to design systems which allow you to discover and create the future. The seminar will summarize the findings of Professor Barnett’s book, “Organizational Evolution by Design,” based on decades of research covering the experience of thousands of organizations.
